West Sussex County Council are responsible for maintaining the roads within the whole county.  They are responsible for the planned maintenance of the highways and each year they publish a programme of planned works the programme is decided by following the core objectives for highway maintenance and what is achievable with their budget:

  • customer service
  • serviceability
  • sustainability

You are able to report issues with the highway via the Love West Sussex App directly from your phone or via the online reporting form

 

Unplanned works have different time scales in completion depending on the safety issues associated with the problem the time scales are 2 hours, 24 hours, 5 days and 28 days depending on the severity and risk identified.
