Public Consulation by Chichester District Council
Chichester District Council’s Overview & Scrutiny Committee are currently reviewing options for recording the council’s committee meetings. Members of the public can, of course, attend most council meetings to ask questions, make representations, or just to observe. However, for many, attending such meetings is not convenient or possible, so we are considering providing an audio record and/or streaming meetings via a webcasting system. The Task and Finish Group set up to carry out this review is seeking the views of local people on accessibility and transparency and to find out whether they would use this service if available online. A short survey has been prepared and is available on the council’s website at http://www.chichester.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=20928.
