We would like to welcome you to our commemorative event honouring the bravery and sacrifices made on D-Day. As the sun sets on this historic day, we gather to pay tribute to the heroes who fought for freedom and peace. Tonight, we unite to remember their courage and resilience.

This free event is being hosted by North Mundham Parish Council 7pm – midnight.

Everyone is welcome to the lighting of the beacon at 9pm on North Mundham Playing Field . This beacon represents the guiding light that led the allied forces to victory on the beaches of Normandy. As it illuminates the sky, let it serve as a beacon of hope and remembrance for generations to come.

In the village hall we will be holding a free event (tickets required) from 7pm to midnight. Talented musician Kerry Le Bern – The Lady Signs will perform stirring renditions of songs from the World War II era, paying homage to the indomitable spirit of the Allied forces.

As we come together to honour the memory of the brave men and women who fought on D-Day, we encourage you to dress in clothing of the era and  bring your own refreshments to enjoy during the event.

As the evening draws to a close, let us carry the spirit of remembrance and gratitude with us. May we never forget the valor and sacrifice of those who stormed the beaches of Normandy on that fateful day. Through our collective commemoration, their legacy will endure, inspiring future generations to cherish and uphold the principles of liberty and justice for all.

Thank you for joining us in honouring the heroes of D-Day. Together, we stand as a testament to their enduring legacy.
